True Photography

True Photography was a dream vendor! My sister had used them for her wedding and we had zero doubts that we would use them for ours as well. Our initial phone call with the owner, Aaron, was so helpful and their portal made adding anything additional super easy! Our lead photographer at our wedding was Avalon and she was amazing! Our wedding guests loved how she could be found everywhere and did not miss a shot! Her fun and easy going personality made pictures super comfortable! We can't say enough about how wonderful Avalon, Aaron, and the entire True Photography team is!

Aaron, Avalon (our wedding day photographer), and the entire True Photography staff were amazing to work with. They are professional, knowledgeable, and personable. They knew our venue (SSF) and had great ideas/places to shoot pictures, etc. Our wedding was postponed twice (read three separate wedding dates) due to the global covid pandemic. Aaron and his staff were so easy to work with and were very reasonable.

Our contract for both photography and videography was honored even though pricing was from 2019 and the wedding happened in 2022 (which I can say our catering did not honor the original contract) which we greatly appreciated! They are responsive and communicative. On the day of the wedding Avalon, our photographer, came early to look around our getting ready site (airbnb venue) to find spots for the getting ready pictures.

She was fun to work with and had great personality. Her assistant Robby (?spelling) was also great. We are in love with all of our pictures! I appreciate Avalon's attention to detail for the pictures. She can't control the wind but the veil, the dress, angles, etc. she was great at looking out for the details. The pictures are absolutely stunning!

All of our friends and family are also in love with the pictures. They captured the day so beautifully and I cannot say thank you enough to Aaron, Avalon, Robby, and the rest of the staff at True Photography! If we got to do it all over again we would 100% book True Photography again!

We haven't gotten our wedding photos yet as our wedding was just this past Saturday. However, I just want to say that Jennifer H. from True Photography was the most professional, efficient, and kind photographer I have ever worked with. She had compliments from numerous guests on how great she was. Her attitude and demeanor really helped make us feel like we were being taken care of.

Even though we haven't seen the photos, we could tell she really knew what she was doing based on her lighting observations, directions on how to pose, etc. One guest told us that she even helped clean up a spill on the dance floor. This just goes to show how kind of a person she is. We had 230+ guests at our wedding and wanted pictures with every table. Jennifer H. made that happen within the timeframe allotted. She knew how to direct a crowd and had a smile on her face the whole time! Thank you Jennifer H. for everything!

Wow! If you're looking for great photographers, look no further. We booked True Photography for our wedding back in September 2019. Our original wedding date needed to be pushed back (stupid Covid), but True Photography made the transition easy and seamless. We were assigned Avalon R. as our lead photographer. She took our engagement photos and did a phenomenal job!

We brought our two elderly Yorkies with us to the photoshoot, which I'm sure wasn't easy, but Avalon was amazing. She was down on her stomach making sure to capture super cute pictures of our babies. Avalon was also our lead photographer for our wedding, and Sam was our second shooter. I can't even tell you how many comments we got from family and other guests about how amazing they were.

They made all of us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Avalon especially went above and beyond. She was moving furniture, cleaning up our messy bridal suite, making silly noises to get our new puppy to look at the camera, and she even helped sew a button back on my dress when it popped off while I was getting ready! We just got our pictures back (over 3,500!) and I can't wait to sit down and go over them all.

Our sneak peek photos are incredible, and I know the rest will be amazing, too. Thank you SO MUCH to Avalon, Sam, and the rest of the True Photography team. It was a pleasure working with you all!

My husband and I worked with Dustin S. and Aaron for our engagement (Feb 2020) and wedding (June 2021). They were incredibly accommodating when our plans went haywire with the pandemic and venues and dates had to be changed. It was an absolute pleasure working with Dustin- he made me and my (slightly awkward) husband so comfortable and was able to capture absolutely stunning photographs that we will forever cherish.

The whole team was great. They were always available to answer any questions and address any concerns. I cannot recommend them highly enough and would 1000% work with them again!

We have used True Photography 3 times. 1. For our engagement shoot, 2. For wedding couple photos (CoVid wedding), and 3. Wedding celebration! All three shoots were amazing and fun! We loved every photo and Jennifer H( engagement and wedding couple photos) Jennifer L. (Wedding celebration), and Eddie (wedding celebration) are amazing to work with! They love what they do and you can see the love and passion in their photos!

We used True photography in August for our wedding and Aaron, the owner, and his team are wonderful! From the first introduction call with Jennifer, photography by Avalon (who is amazing!) to the editing and follow ups after the wedding - they are true professionals who genuinely care. Their website is easy to use, including accessing your account for payments and pictures after the event, and they are super communicative throughout the process. I highly recommend them for your event!

I discovered True Photography about 10 years ago when I started planning my "future wedding" when I got wedding fever as my older sister planned hers. I told myself that when it was my turn, True Photography will be my photopher - And it happened! They were the first vendors I reached out to when I got engaged. The work in their website is so stunning, how can you not be captivated and convinced to book them?

The Team is so quick at responding to inquiries and other questions you may have. We were assigned Tatiana and Maria as our Lead and Secondary photographers and ooooh my goodness, they were incredible! Tatiana knows exactly what she likes and how she wants everything to look! She helped us from posing to getting our angles right! And we received so many compliments from our wedding guests at how impressed they were of Tatiana and Maria!

We received our Sneak Peeks today and the photos came out better than we expected! We're so excited to see the rest of the magical moments that were captured on the best day of our lives!

Aaron and his team at True Photography are amazing! After our first interaction with Aaron, we knew that we didn't need to look any further for the perfect team to capture our beautiful wedding day. Dustin was our lead photographer. He was super cool and fun to work with. The bridal party even expressed to me that he put everyone at ease on a day that can be stressful. My experience with True Photography was fabulous! There was a slight booking snafu, but they quickly reached out and offered to expedite my touchups and were accommodating when I needed to reschedule last minute. Megan was our photographer and she was on time, already had recommendations, and beyond patient with our sick 1 year old (because or course she was sick the day of. Babies am I right?).

The touch ups were great and they paid extra attention to some spots I was worried about. The entire team was great at communicating and the customer service was definitely a highlight. I will be coming back to True Photograpy!

The True Photography team is the best! Working with them was very pleasant and easy. They are very accommodating and very detailed and precise. On top of that, on the days of both our engagement photo shoot and wedding day, the photographers are just fun and pleasant. I especially enjoy Leah's lighthearted nature. My wife and I were beyond happy with our decision to work with Aaron and the True Photography team for our wedding at Cape Rey this past June. So happy with our experience so far with True Photography! Right off the bat we appreciated the transparency and easy to follow processes, prices, and package offers. This is very hard to find with other photographers and my only regret was not stumbling upon True Photography sooner. After having the phone call with Aaron up front it was very clear that they are detail oriented, and I personally loved the option for the automatic monthly payment plan, and the flexibility to add or make modifications to your chosen package throughout wedding planning.

This was definitely a low stress process from start to finish! As for our photographers, Tatiana & Valerie, they were amazing to work with. Tatiana has a crazy good eye and more importantly had a calm reassuring energy that an anxiety prone bride (aka me) truly appreciated on this day. Valerie also got some great hilarious shots of the groomsmen and they said it was a blast.

My now husband and I are pretty awkward in front of the camera, but they really helped us warm up and always had options for us to pose. We just received our highlight reel and are so pleased with the results! Can't wait to see the rest :)

If I can rate them more than 5 starts, I would! If you are looking for someone that is LGBTQ+ friendly and would work everything out with your budget and give you the most amazing experience and great quality photos. I am recommending True Photography. I recommended them to all my friends after working with them. Me and my wife planned our small wedding at sunset cliffs, and everything was rushed and we were worried about the budget for photography.

Even if our wedding was really small with just 7 people around us. Jen (our photographer) really gave us an amazing experience. We only had her for 2 hours but all her ideas for the photos were really great. We were really excited to get our photos and it did not disappoint at all. For just 2 hours, so many amazing photos were shot! We are definitely gonna work with them again for our big wedding. Really recommend them!

We were absolutely blown away with True Photography and they did not disappoint at all. Having the flexible options for photographer along with the post wedding photo packages and the reassurance they give during this crazy time was appreciated and made everything much easier. Aaron from True Photography was so kind and helpful during our wedding planning. I had so much anxiety being a Covid bride and having to reschedule our wedding once, but Aaron was so accommodating and wonderful throughout the whole process. We received a phone call from our photographer, Amber, about a month before our big day and she was extremely diligent in making sure we had all the pictures we wanted from our wedding.

She knew what time sunset was going to be the night of our wedding and made sure we got our "golden hour" pictures. They were also very efficient with sending us our gallery within a timely manner and when we saw the results of the entirety of our wedding day, Shaun and I were amazed at how much thought, time, and effort Amber and Emily (our second photographer) put into making our photos reflect how beautiful and amazing the night was.

Everyone told me to soak up each moment because everything will be a blur and we were thrilled to be reliving our wedding through our gallery. Thank you so much to Aaron, Amber, and Emily for capturing such wonderful memories from our wedding day!

Our lead photographer was Tatiana and we are extremely happy with the photos! We got our highlight photos for our wedding in a week and can't wait to see the rest of the photos. Tatiana was extremely professional and very detail oriented. Aaron was really helpful in addressing many of our questions as well. The absolute best! Our lead photographer Voytek was incredible, very professional, artistic, and gave immaculate direction for our photos. I'm usually very camera shy but he made me feel very comfortable and beautiful in the way he gave direction for each photo. Our group can sometimes be a little rambunctious but he was patient and allowed our personalities to shine. I would absolutely recommend this photography company to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience!

Getting married during a pandemic (April 2021) can be stressful, so working with professionals who not only have the typical eye for detail but also who communicate so thoroughly, and are accommodating, flexible, and have their clients' and their clients' family's health and safety in mind allows getting married to be the blissful event that it should be.

From the phone, to email, to the client portal and contract, everything was clear and above board. All of my questions were answered, and the photographer, Leah Franks, was not only professional, but also delightful to work with. She captured our day beautifully, especially considering that she was the sole photographer. It isn't easy to capture everything by yourself, but she managed with aplomb, and also kept everything running smoothly and on time. I would definitely recommend them do anyone looking to make memories of a special event.

This review is LONG overdue. We got married July 9th 2020 right in the middle of covid. Our original wedding date was June 6, but our venue cancelled on us. To make a long story short Aaron was amazing and very patient with us. We had wanted to just cancel everything, but after a few email exchanges we were able to come to an agreement with him and we used them for our new wedding date on July 9th and it was the best decision to stick with them!

Our photographer Berlynn was absolutely wonderful! She got so many good shots in just 3 hours! Everything turned out fantastic! This company is worth every penny. Thank you to Aaron again for being so patient with us during that crazy time and being so respectful. We will never forget it.

Aaron, Kristin Jen, Joe and Dustin are amazing! It goes without saying that a wedding is magical and special but working with them was memorable. I will not only remember this wedding for what it meant to my wife and I but I will remember this team for what they accomplished for us. Only regret was not being able to share tacos with everyone.

If I could give True Photography and Jennifer more than 5 stars, I would! They were responsive, thorough, organized and EXTREMELY talented when it comes to taking photos. I could not put into words how incredible Jennifer and the entire True Photography team is. Jennifer covered every fine detail to prepare us both for our engagement shoot and wedding day.she was even quick on her feet when the Coronado bridge was shut down seconds before we hit the exit and helped us come up with a PERFECT plan B for our engagement shoot.

Her attention to detail and creativity in photo shoots captured our special day and created absolutely stunning photos to look back on. They saved our COVID Wedding! We initially hired another photographer. 4 DAYS before our wedding, we got a text that they couldn't come because they tested positive for COVID! : We were scrambling to find a last minute replacement and were so fortunate to find True Photography! Aaron, the owner, is awesome! He was on the phone with me past 9 PM to make sure that we were taken care of.

Now is that phenomenal service or what! Our photographer was Jennifer H who is an absolute GEM! She is so talented and so confident in leading us on what to do and how to pose that it made the day way less stressful and we had so much fun shooting with her! Our photos came out better than we expected! They made us look so good, like it was straight out of a magazine! Bottomline is they provide excellent communication, top-notch professionalism, & breathtaking photos! I have already recommended them to a couple friends and will continue to do so!

I have the most beautiful photos from my wedding thanks to True photography and specifically because of our majorly talented photographer, Avalon. From the start, Avalon was the best energy. She is so positive, fun, and uplifting! She had my husband and I laughing most of the time, allowing for natural candid photos to be taken. And when we weren't laughing, we were posing for more serious photos.

She was super familiar with my venue (La Valencia) and captured stunning images in spots we didn't even know existed. From our phone consultation all the way to the big day, Avalon was flexible and so easy to work with. She was extremely accommodating to my whole wedding (even my pup!) and I am pretty sure she got photos of every single guest.

Her energy radiates! My guests gave numerous compliments on my photographer the days following the wedding. Even more compliments when I received some of the highlights shot by Avalon. I cannot recommend Avalon and True photography enough! They have given me my highlight photos so quickly, and all of the photos are just absolutely stunning. True Photography, True Talent Cannot recommend this company enough. They are partnered with our venue and heavily recommended, so it was an easy choice. We already knew our photos would be awesome, but when we received our highlights (over 100 photos) within a week after our wedding we were stoked with the fast turnaround. The photos are absolutely gorgeous, we can't wait to see the rest.

Not only is the end result wonderful, but they're just awesome people to work with. The owner was super kind and helpful in answering all of my questions before I booked. They have a payment system that allows you to split up your payments, which I found to be very convenient with so many other wedding costs. Our two photographers on our wedding day were Berlynn and Elaine. Berlynn was with me the whole day and she just has the BEST energy, super easy to get along with, she's funny, she listened to me when I told her any random little shots I wanted, and she's super talented to boot.

My husband and his dudes had Elaine and he said she was super chill, fun, and made them all feel comfortable during their photos. She also got some amazing detail shots of our wedding before everyone arrived that I appreciate so much. Incredible job, we are super satisfied clients.

Having formerly been in the wedding planning industry, I believe your photographer and band are two of the most important vendors you select for your wedding day! I did thorough research before selecting True Photography and based on their reviews and the evident quality of their work, we felt confident in our selection!

True Photography is AMAZING! I spoke with Aaron when I was first starting to interview photographers and he impressed me so much with his dedication and love of photography & weddings. We spoke on the phone in a way that Aaron felt like an old friend I was catching up with. Our original photographer was going to be Dustin. Dustin was also very easy to talk with. Unfortunately, Dustin was not able to photograph our wedding.

But Aaron works with so many amazing photographers that he was able to easily pair us up with Leah and Joey. Leah and Joey did a beautiful job photographing our wedding. They made our guests feel at ease and really listened to what Luke and I wanted to remember our special day. We do not have all our pictures yet (we just got married 1-13-19), but those we have seen are stunning.
