If you want the best, Herr photography is the most experienced, professional and patient as they come Joanna shoots with precision and a very serious side to all her work She has an eye to put you or your project in the very best light!

Very Unfriendly. First time (yes, I give second chances) we used her, was for family photos. She didn't smile. For 3 kids under 5 years old that's important. Actually didn't even say hello. She did not try to help kids feel comfortable. At all. My husband, the comedian, tried to break the ice with her. But she did not crack until the end of our session- she said 2 whole sentences to us. (Why was it our job to make HER feel comfortable?) The pictures turned out ok.

But Far from professional. Just looked like we handed our camera to a stranger off the street and had them snap a quick pic. Bad lighting. No editing (appeared that way). And of course kids weren't smiling. I figured she was just having a bad day. We gave her the benefit of the doubt and had our baby's pictures done by her. But yet same results. Didn't say hi. Didn't seem to remember us.

And of course didn't smile. How do you take a cute baby's picture and not even smile!? Pictures came back bad. If course our smiley little baby wasn't smiling in any of the pictures, but that wasn't the problem. Baby had a uni-brow. Really. A uni-brow on a blond baby. It was just shadows. But Joanna didn't even try to edit that?

And we could see the clips from the top of her back drop in the photos! How does she get good reviews!? I actually tried contacting her to ask if she could edit/photoshop our baby's pictures. Sent an email and waited 10 days. Heard nothing. I called and left a message. One week went by. I gave up. She's far from a professional photographer. I don't recommend using her for family our baby photos.

Amazing photos and service! Joanna took photos of our 1 year old. She really captured his personality and had amazing ideas for outdoor areas to take pics. Would highly recommend her company.

I had a great experience with Joanna from Herr Photography recently. I was in a bind and needed a new headshot. She graciously agreed to take them same day and deliver them that week. She was very professional and obviously knew what she was doing. The photos were just what I needed!

I needed a portrait setting for business and found them to be very accommodating for my special needs. I had researched and contacted many photographers before coming across Herr Photography. They were able to meet all of my needs and scheduled me within days. I was running late and was at least half an hour late for my appointment but they still took care of me.

Within a day they had my proofs posted for my review. Once I settled on my choices they sent me the digital files within an hour. Great service! On a side note, the studio where I had my pictures taken at was in a garage. They had proper backdrops but I wasn't thrilled about the setting. Their prices were fair, but they were no less than photographers that had professional studios. Overall very good experience and I would recommend them and use them again.

AWESOME Experience. Had fun and they sent us the exact pictures we wanted and with all the different poses they took of us, we can still buy more. The photographer was awesome; not only was she patient with the kids, she asked us which photos we liked best and that's what we received for free. I just came across this review and I am so saddened to read this. Herr Photography is a company that goes out of their way to support our military families with beautiful photos. I am thankful for all their support and amazing photos. Our military families who appreciate this free gift during the year are so grateful to have photos that capture a family memory and they can keep forever.

Please note the event location was picked by the Event Coordinator and was originally set for Coronado Bay, but was moved at the last minute indoors due to very bad weather in San Diego. I recommend Herr Photography for any kind of event. They support our military families with baby photos, family photos, event photos, couples photos, Father/Daughter photos, fun backdrop photos, and more! Hello, I am completely shocked by the negative feedback given for Herr Photography. I have had the pleasure of working with Herr Photography for several years and their dedication to our military families is second to none. In all of my years of working with a variety of photographers, I have yet to find one that is more dedicated to their clients.

This is apparent in every event they participate in within our region. Our bases are spread out through California and at times Herr is asked to travel 7 hours from their home. It is because of their dedication to our military families that they are asked to do this. We could very easily hire a local photographer, which we have done in the past, but the quality Herr Photography provides us is unmatched.

I would also like to note that Herr has photographed hundreds of families for us in the past, so to say "a few" is completely false. In a world where our military families are often forgotten it is nice to work with a company who is so completely dedicated to providing the highest quality work to our families! I am a Navy spouse and was blessed to have taken advantage of the offer of free family photos for the holidays. I truly wish I could upload it here as it is the single best photo of my family we have ever had taken! I adore it! Joanna was great with my family and we were able to pick our very favorite proof. She is a talented photographer and a kind person. I will cherish this photo forever. I would recommend her to anyone.

This company does "free" holiday pictures for a few military families each year through base housing. Sounds like a nice holiday thing to do, right? Not so much. They choose the location-- This year it was indoors with an awful draped background. They choose "the best" photo to be your three free ones. What that means is that they choose the worst ones so you'll spend $ to get the better ones.

What a sham! I gave 2 stars because their website does have some nice photos on it. I guess you have to be a paying customer to deserve good photos. If you don't want to do good work as a promo, then don't offer your services!
