John & Joseph Photography

Joey is clearly a very talented photographer, he has a beautiful portfolio and I was personally recommended so we hired him. Our package was just under $6K, more than other photographers we looked at but we wanted great pictures. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed in the delivery. Our contract said +500 edited pictures with 7 hours of coverage and we got less than that.

We didn't feel the quality was there or as much time spent on our wedding. It appeared to us he showed up slightly late and left early. This photographer was also not open upfront before we signed that it would take near 4 months to send us a single picture. I should have asked for a very specific deadline when he was vague. All of my friends who have used other photographers, they at least post 1 or 2 on their social networks and thank them for the business. There were times where I felt more like I worked for him vs him being hired by us. That said we did get a few good photos.

Before I was even engaged I knew who our photographer would be for the wedding. We met with Joseph (Joey) at their studio home and was super impressed by their images and photobooks. We didn't hestitate to sign with them and knew we made the right choice. They photograph weddings and photoshoots all over the U.S. including over-seas so we knew if we didn't book them right away, there's a slim chance we would get them for our date.

So we booked 14 months out from our wedding. haha. crazy huh? Their prices are a bit steep, we paid about $5200 for our package but the quality and photos we've received are amazing. I cannot ask for a better photographer. They have a keen eye for artistic poses and they even have a self-protrait photobooth that they included for us which was a big hit at our wedding! All of our guests LOVED it and kept shooting away. They still talk about it up till this day!

We had Joseph aka Joey as our wedding photographer last summer. He is definitely an ARTIST in this field, and did the most amazing work at capturing our wedding day with creativity, beauty, and integrity. One thing that sticks out in Joey's work is his ability to make every shot so beautiful, and his keen eye for lighting, which makes his photos so striking. Our entire day was documented and captured so beautifully.! Thanks Joey.for helping us remember the most beauty-filled day!

In my opinion John is really good photographer. John photographed our wedding in '08. The pictures turned out amazing. John also provided great customer service; he always responded to our emails and was professional as well as easy to get along with. He also did our engagement pictures. I loved our engagement pictures because we took them downtown by post alley. What's amazing about John's pictures is they are so creative and the photos don't look like no other. This is why we chose him - his style. They do charge quite a bit but I think it's well worth it especially when it's your wedding day.

When dorks marry dorks, they make spreadsheets. We had a spreadsheet of more than 100 photographers. So I can tell you for a fact that these guys are oustanding. Yes, it says they're in Seattle, but they do weddings in the Bay Area, too. And they're not so expensive for the Bay Area wedding photgraphy scene. We just got the photos back, and they are even better than I hoped.

When you're shopping around for a wedding photographer, make sure you ask to see a whole wedding album, not just the best photos. Anyone can take 5 amazing photos, especially if they are thoroughly photoshopped. It takes talent to take 500 amazing photos. John and Joseph are amazing.
