Catching One Moment Professional Photography

First off, they are very prompt and responsive to addressing questions. very recently, I signed up and participated in a workshop for posing. This particular workshop occurred at a location with beautiful flower gardens with an experienced model. In the first 15 minutes, I picked up on a lesson that immediately changed the way I interact and photograph people.

I wish I had taken this workshop much earlier. For reference, I have been making photographs for the past 4-5 years of street scenes, photojournalism, portraiture, landscapes, and nature. I have sold prints and I take on gigs as they come along. I'm not doing this professionally--as in--it's not my full time job though I have a certificate in professional photography from a highly reputable school.

I've reached a point in my career where my public brand has become significantly more important than it was early on. Recognizing that, I thought it was time to talk to a professional about my executive headshot. I had an absolutely phenomenal experience working with Walter. The optional pre-shoot consultation he offers was worth every penny. I'm incredibly glad that I spent those 45 minutes talking with Walter about what I wanted to project. Getting some coaching on appropriate wardrobe choices guaranteed that what I visually presented matched the image I had in mind.

Because of the time we spent planning, we were able to get right to work in the studio on the day of the shoot. Walter's clear directions made it easy to get the right shot, and his knowledge is immense. He gave me the sense that, in creating so many headshots for so many different people, he's seen it all and uses his experience to guide his subjects to present themselves in the best possible way.

The time and thought that Walter put into my pre-shoot consultation was really incredible. He helped me to think through what image I wanted to project and even advised me on colors and what would photograph well. I felt well-prepared for the day of my shoot, which put me very much at ease. With each sequence of shots he took, I felt more comfortable. It was a painless, fun experience that was worth every penny, and I'm really pleased with the end product.

Having my picture taken is my least favorite thing to do as I'm not usually happy with pictures of myself. Walter made me feel comfortable right away. He explained what goes into creating the image and his skill and expertise shine through. I am very pleased to now have a professional photo that shows my authentic self. I'd highly recommend him!

Walter's knowledge and his expertise in his field made me much more comfortable having my headshot taken. I wanted to come across as professional, of course, but also as warm. I wanted something more than a rushed hundred-dollar headshot from a department store studio. After looking at the excellent work showcased on Walter's website, I just felt an overwhelming confidence that I was going to walk away from C1M with a great product. Walter provides a low-key atmosphere and a little sense of humor. He took the time to get to know who I am a little bit, what I'm going to do with this photo, where I'm headed, and then figured out how to bring the personality out of me. The end result is a polished, professional headshot that comes across as genuine.

I would absolutely recommend Walter, because I've seen his work, specifically the amazing job he did with my head shot. He worked his magic and to made me look better than I could imagine and certainly made me look approachable and reachable for the audience that I'm trying to reach. It's obvious that he's done this hundreds of times. The process came natural to him and, as a result it felt natural and comfortable to me.

I don't like to be the center of attention, and I also don't always like how my pictures come out, so I was concerned that I'd be uncomfortable during my headshot session. Walter put those concerns to rest. The all around experience from start to finish was excellent. I appreciated meeting with Walter prior to the photo shoot and receiving some helpful hints about what to expect and what to wear. During the photo shoot itself, he kept me at ease, and I'm very happy with the photo he got. To me, it was worth the investment, especially since I don't do it very often.

Walter did a wonderful job portraying me as I wanted to be seen for my company's website. He took time to teach me what I was supposed to do in front of the camera to achieve the proper posture and the right smile. He's very easy to work with, very professional, and he does great work.

I have now taken Walter's beginner and intermediate class including the art show at the end and it's a fun, interactive way to learn the insides and outs of shooting great pictures. The first class is more technical where the second is more artistic and the elements learned in both were very helpful! Would recommend taking his classes!
