Had passport pictures taken yesterday and was thrilled by the quality. MUCH better than the scary pictures taken at Walgreen on B'way in the Bronx where I looked like the crypt keeper's mother. David took pictures that made me look natural. He is the ultimate professional and will treat you with respect and kindness. I'd definitely recommend paying his modest fee for the results you will get.

I usually dislike having my photo taken but David's warm professionalism wiped away every bit of self-consciousness I was initially experiencing. He is also open to suggestions which is highly unusual so the process feels quite collaborative. The best part was that I had a difficult decision deciding which passport photo to chose as they were all great. I would recommend him highly!

What can I say that folks already haven't? I emailed David yesterday morning looking for someone to take passport size photos. David responded very quickly and offered me a lunch time slot, perfect for lunch time errand running. He went above and beyond to take beautiful pictures and is prompt in his correspondence, providing the proofs and ensuring you receive the photos. I would recommend him to anyone for professionalism and quality. It is obvious he really loves photography and that's refreshing to work with.

Really knows his lighting, which NO other passport photog in town gets right or even bothers to offer. Worth it to make the appointment and pay the extra for the better lighting since you've gotta live with the thing for ten years. Also excels at getting a natural smile/expression out of the subject and exact body positioning. You get a sense he really wants you to be happy and is flexible enough to make sure you wind up with something really good.

Totally totally worth it and puts Columbia Photo Studio near Rock Center -- which purports to do something more professional and superficially has what looks like a pro set-up -- to utter shame. Like night and day, these pictures.

I went for passport photos as CVS gave me bad ones. I did not have appointment yet David agreed to see me. Very charming individual. He was quick and i liked the studio as well. Will definitely try his services for photo shoot in future.

David is the best. He does amazing photos. I had my professional headshot done here for my company and I am very happy with the results. We took plenty of shots to make sure we can find a perfect one. David is also a lot of fun to work with and he is truly an artist. He doesn't go overboard with touching up your photos so you'll still look very natural. I highly recommend him.

Visiting David was an adventure and a lot of fun. I finally have a passport picture that reflects the way I feel about travel. David was so interesting and amusing I forgot to be self conscious. He is a master at making one feel comfortable and bringing out all the different facets of an individual. He is a great listener. One can tell he cannot help but put care into everything he does. David is absolutely awesome! I came for one passport photo, and we had the whole session which worked out absolutely fabulous, though we spent only half an hour or so! Next time I am in New York - I am here for a longer one.

After reviewing the web sites of a number of photographers in NYC, I chose David Beyda to do my professional (executive) head shot. His web site indicated more of this type of work than others that seemed to focus on models and people in the theatrical trades. David was delightful to work with. He worked hard to create and capture a variety of emotions and took a great many more photos than I had anticipated. In fact, there were so many great pictures that I had a hard time choosing from among them. I would highly recommend David Beyda for any executive or CEO head shot.

Came here to get professional photos taken for my company's website and couldn't be happier with the results. David is so nice and really makes you feel comfortable to work different angles with the camera and enjoy the process. I received many proofs very soon after and had so many wonderful ones in the bunch that it took me about a month to choose my favorite.

When I did, he quickly sent me the final image in various forms (one for the website, one to print, one sized perfectly for LinkedIn). I was very impressed with his work - was a pleasure!
