I was born and raised in Brevard, NC and I grew up hiking, fishing and exploring the mountains of WNC. I thought about a career in Forestry but a chance meeting with a Hollywood cameraman deep in the wilderness of Montana 22 years ago started my training in the photo arts. I returned to Montana and schooled and worked under some legendary photographers.I met and married my sweetheart Ericka in Montana and I photographed my first professional wedding there in 1997. We moved back to my hometown Brevard where we live a quiet and simple life out in the country with our dogs, cats and ducks.

Weddings vary greatly in size and scope. I have a fondness for small intimate weddings like my own, but I also shoot multi day weddings with many hundreds of international guests. Since the time for shooting and editing varies greatly so will the cost. I will be happy to send a info sheet with some options that my couples have enjoyed in the past, but I also would be more than happy to provide a custom quote once we have determined exactly what you are expecting in the photography aspect of your wedding.

I find that in order to have passion in my work and to give attention to each wedding, including editing the images and designing the books myself, I need to accept a limited amount of wedding commissions. I learned photography before the age of digital imaging, so I still prefer vibrant but natural color images and strong contrasty black and white.
