An unidentifiable magic enters the world when people connect on a profound level, and that happens a lot at weddings. Each connection forms a small sentence in a larger paragraph of life, and they combine to make a grand story. Capturing these real moments is the foundation of Dreamtime Images. Your final gallery will remind you of who you are, where you came from, and how much you're loved.
Liz and Jeff brought a small crew of their best friends down from chilly Northern Alberta to get hitched in Mexico in January. Smart move. Their wedding crashers were resolute and wouldn't leave, but Liz and Jeff and their families were perfectly happy to let them keep dancing - as long as they did a couple shots.
I shot three days of events with Andrea and Andy in Cacun, starting with a booze cruise on a party boat called the Dancer. We floated in the ocean surrounded by deckhands dressed in superhero costumes, and once enough tequila flowed, the dancing commenced. I like shooting destination weddings because I almost always photograph something like this beforehand, and these events tend to put all the guests at ease when they have a camera pointed at them.On the wedding day itself, things are that much more natural.
Shooting Jennie and Travis' wedding was so filled with coincidence that it seemed like we were almost destined to work together. The most striking two: Jennie went to the same graduate school program as I did, though we were a few years apart, and her dad and my parents went to the same graduate school program as well.

Dreamtime Images (Nathan) made our day an incredible experience. From helping us find the perfect spot to being an impromptu shuttle driver, he was like another member of our family, just lending a hand and willing to go above and beyond to make the day special! His professionalism and terrific attitude made our day effortless and even more special.
Of course, his photography is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Your photos will be just as breathtaking as the ones on his website and he will do whatever and go wherever he needs to get the shot! When I saw our proofs, I got wedding day goosebumps and tears all over again. He captured all the joy, all the tears, all the laughter, and all of our wedding day bliss! I found Dreamtime Images when I was browsing the internet looking for wedding venues in Colorado.
His website is a great resource for elopements and micro weddings, with recommendations and details on each area in Colorado. Throughout the planning process, Nathan was a wealth of knowledge, a great communicator, and very responsive. We even had to move our wedding day up by a day for weather purposes and he was able to accommodate us. So in case you haven't guessed it by now, we would recommend Dreamtime Images hands down! Thank you sincerely from the bottom of our hearts! We'll be back to take family and anniversary photos!

One usually doesn't think of "posing" for family photos as a vacation highlight, but our recent experience with Nathan certainly counts as one. Our family of four met him just outside gate to Rocky Mountain National Park. From there he led us to three separate locations within the park that made perfect settings for family photos and high school senior photos for our son.
Each setting was unique and off the beaten path. We had the locations to ourselves and the lighting was perfect for the time of day at each spot. I should also add that we ended up with some of the best wildlife spotting of our entire 10-day trip. During our two-hour session encountered a moose, a herd of elk, wild turkeys and deer! The elk ended up as the backdrop for one of the shots. Nathan is a very interesting person and easy to work with.
He took the time to understand our personalities and what we were looking for. He was very creative, yet we did not come away feeling staged or awkward. The results were outstanding!

Nathan is a gem of a photographer. He is extremely talented and has a very very unique eye. His pictures are wild, free, dreamy, unique and true all at the same time. He helped us shoot our elopement on a VERY short notice (1 week) and we didn't get a chance to meet him before the actual day. We spoke on the phone about what we were planning and he was all on board.
He gave me some excellent suggestions about planning lighting and location. I really didn't have to second guess this and I planned the entire decor around this. It was the best decision I made. Our pictures turned out so beautiful and so very unique. He captured all the important moments of an Indian wedding. Also, this was a dusk/night elopement.
He did not use his camera flash at any time and it's remarkable what he did with just the lighting of nature and fire. There were multiple occasions where I was worried we didn't have enough lights since we could barely even read off a sheet of paper. But Nathan knew exactly what he was doing. Having Nathan be a part of our 5 person wedding was the best decision we could have made and we are glad we found a friend in him as well! Thank you for all that you did for us Nathan!

Nathan perfectly captured mine and Kelly's love for each other during the surprise proposal and also the next day during our engagement photo session. He was very specific in where he wanted to photos for the absolute spectacular back drop of Estes Park in the fall. The photos are breathtaking. Thank you so very much Nathan for being a part of it all.

Nathan Welton was by far the best money that my husband and I spent on our wedding! He was absolutely amazing! Nathan was professional, fun, easy going, and for meeting him for the first time ever on the day of our wedding, made both my husband and myself feel like we have known him forever. Our pictures are so stunning that the words cannot describe. They are breathe taking! I would recommend Dreamtime Images to anyone looking for the best photographer!

Nathan was fantastic to work with. He was professional and kept the groups on track for family photographs. Once we went to take some shots of just the bride and groom, he was very laid back and easy to talk to. We had a great time with him. We were married in Estes Park and Nathan had some great spots that he ended up taking some incredible shots in. Additionally, there was a very quick turn around time on the sneak peak and return of our photos. We would highly recommend working with him! You won't be disappointed.

Nathan has a fantastic artistic eye. The moments captured come through as authentic and inspired. We did family photos with ages 3-71 and he brought us on a little hike that in and of itself was worth the price of admission. All ages had fun and got into the moment. Nathan has a natural calmness that helps make the process a lot of fun. For those of you with little kids you know what I mean when it is hard to get little ones to focus and smile for the camera but Nathan did a fantastic job getting the whole lot of us to say cheese. Thanks Nathan!

Nathan was absolutely fantastic to work with. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone at our wedding felt comfortable during pictures. He took some of the most amazing pictures and truly captured what I would consider to be a perfect day! His knowledge of Estes Park allowed us to take gorgeous pictures in some very unique locations. Even after the wedding Nathan was available to us and kept in great contact until our pictures and album were completed and in our hands. Overall we had a wonderful experience with Nathan and Dreamtime Images, I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a unique eye and a very talented photographer!

My husband and I hired Nathan three years ago for our wedding and engagement photography. We got married in CO, but were living out of state and never had met him until our engagement pictures. Instantly upon meeting him we clicked. My husband is notoriously awkward in pictures, and Nathan made him feel comfortable and look natural. And above all - OUR PICTURES TURNED OUT AMAZING.
I'm in love with our wedding portraits and am so happy that we spent the extra money because they are something that we will truly treasure forever. Recently our family moved to Colorado and we were looking for a photographer for our son's one year pictures. Naturally I immediately reached out to Nathan and we met at Lilly Lake in Estes Park. Our pictures, once again, turned out awesome. We can't say enough about Nathan in terms of talent and personality. We will definitely be bugging him for more family portraits in the future :
