Our portrait sessions are designed for clients who desire a complete custom photography experience and above and beyond customer service. The process begins with a pre-portrait consultation at our studio, where we discuss our collective vision for your portrait session and plan the details, including clothing, backdrops, props, theme, colors, and genre.
Are you in need of an updated headshot for your business cards, website, billboard, newspaper ad, etc.? We offer professional studio lighting and posing, same day turnaround, and digital files with a usage license. We also offer discounted rates for multiple headshots, on-location setups, and group portraits. Individual business portrait clients receive one fully retouched digital file, emailed to you by the end of the day, for $150.
I'm so happy you stopped by my site. A bit about me. I've been a professional photographer since 2004. Before that I was an unhappy Civil Engineer who spent way too many years in college (eight, to be exact). I've lived in Montana, Salt Lake, Chicago, Germany, and back to Montana. I landed in Helena in 2003 and married my amazing husband, Keith.

With an artist's eye and an engineer's precision, Andrea creates timeless portraits that convey her client's unique personality. Two babies, maternity, toddler, family, and headshots all shot by Andrea in the last three years have consistently exceeded our expectations. I'm so happy to have found a photographer who can capture that split second expression between my 6 month old and his 2 year old brother that conveys not only a memory but evokes an emotion. I'll start by saying what I was looking for: pictures for business marketing, and family shots. And I'll also say I really dislike getting my picture taken. Andrea made the indoor session comfortable, fun and friendly. She made sure to understand my marketing needs, and she made sure I looked good with each pose. She's an artist and created shots that I love--that's the true measure of success. As much as I dislike my own process of photo-taking, I'm looking forward to the outdoor shots we will do with family--thanks so much Andrea!

The best photographer in Helena Montana, with over a decade of experience. Andrea has a top notch studio and is an outstanding photographer. While she already honed her craft many years ago, she continues to be inspired and is constantly refining her skills. Andrea Jones Photography is a treasure to the Treasure State! Anyone can carry around a camera and say smile; Andrea is an artist on all levels. The images she captures are not by chance, but sought after by a keen eye that knows how to encapsulate a memory and emotion with just one click. We first met Andrea when we had her photograph our first son, Louie, when he was about to turn one.
We had never had professional pictures taken of him before so while we were excited, we also didn't know what to expect. I spent days choosing his outfits and walking around downtown looking for the perfect picture locations. And of course, like most one-year-olds do, Louie had a complete meltdown 5 minutes before Andrea arrived and all plans went out the window.
In a 1-hour session, I think the kid cried for 55 minutes. But in the 5 minutes he didn't, Andrea made him shine! He giggled, played with bubbles, and chased birds, all at her beckoning. All of the amazing pictures she managed to get that day were unbelievable to us. She was patient and kind and made us feel a lot less stressed by the whole ordeal. Andrea has since photographed our second son, Joey, and just recently our entire family (our first professional family pictures ever!).
She's very skilled and educated in her field, but as a committed wife and mother, she also connects emotionally with what her clients' want out of the experience. She edits with a careful eye, but quickly, so you don't have to wait long before you can start enjoying your photos. Choosing to use a professional photographer like Andrea is a financial commitment that is worth every penny, now and forever. We have been so pleased with Andrea Jones Photography and will continue to trust her with our family's precious memories!

After months of research and looking into other photographers, I chose Andrea to do a custom portrait session for my brand new 5 day old daughter and my 4 year old daughter. Words can not describe how amazing the entire process was start to finish. She was prompt, professional, accomodating and beyond talented. The session lasted just under four hours, and we had an absolute blast, so much so that my 4 year old consistently asks if we can go back to Miss Andrea's for another photo shoot!
Not only are her portraits magazine quality, the products she creates for her clients with them are truly a work of art that you will cherish for a lifetime. Seriously can't wait for another session!

My mentoring session with Andrea was everything I was looking for and more! Andrea is an amazing photographer with so much knowledge to share. She designed the session around my specifically requested topics and needs. We worked with lighting and off-camera flash and the "hands-on" experience was perfect (much better than watching a video)! She gave me honest feedback on my work and showed me things to watch for and how to improve my images both in-camera and in post-production. Andrea was easy to work with and I would definitely recommend her as a mentor! Thanks Andrea!

My first experience with Andrea was 6 years ago when she took wonderful pictures of my daughters and me. Andrea helped my teen and pre-teen daughters feel comfortable and have a ton of fun. I will always treasure those photos! 6 months ago, I started a website to showcase my sewing exploits. Andrea and I have an hour-long photo shoot every month or so.
She works around my busy schedule and is always ready for me. The photos she takes are flattering, and her turn-around time is quick. If you want a photographer who makes you feel confident and beautiful during the photo shoot and when you get the pictures, pick Andrea!

Andrea Jones started photographing our very active little boys over seven years ago. Our first session lasted over two hours; she was going to capture that very special memory for us no matter how much running or rolling on the ground she would have to do! Her work is truly amazing and I have some very beautiful memories that I will cherish forever. Andrea puts so much time and dedication into her portraits; this is not a cookie-cutter photographer!
She has a creative eye and is truly talented. We've had so many compliments on her work as we have used her for our childrens birthday sessions, family and seasonal portraits. Our boys are excited when they know it's time to see Andrea, she has a lot of fun being silly with them and allowing they're natural smiles to come out. Simply put we LOVE her work!
