John is a pro, and one of the nicest folks you could hope to meet. John was a photographer at the Kalamazoo Gazette when I worked there as a reporter, and he was super thorough, took incredible pictures and went the extra mile on all his assignments. I was always relieved when I saw that he was the photog accompanying me on a story because I knew I could count on great pictures.
He also asks great questions -- which was useful for me as the reporter working with him on stories but will also be inherently wonderful for a client of his event/session photography business. He's eager to please and he consistently delivers. If you're looking for decades of professional experience from someone working in photography full-time, look no further!
