I'm a husband, dad, and founder/lead photographer of Wirken Photography. I work hard to tell stories that matter, to capture family and friends and show why we do what we do. Good photography celebrates what truly matters. The right images help us remember, even after the party is over, the kids are grown, the people are gone.
Flowers die and memories fade, but the right photos can help us remember what's important. What do you want future generations to know about your wedding, your family, your friends? We believe wedding photography in the end isn't for us. It's for people who aren't born yet. It documents who we are and what we hope for the future.
We're gonna take a wild guess that it's not the posed times with everyone pretending to be normal. It's the sticky moments, the grins with missing teeth, the look between siblings. Wirken Photography's Normal Day family photo sessions are the opposite of typical staged family photography shoots where everyone is wearing matching outfits.

Tyler Wirken shot my wedding 12 years ago, and the pictures are still my favorite wedding photos in the world. Having owned a limousine business for twenty years, I also worked side by side with Tyler at countless weddings. He was definitely one of my favorite photographers, always fun, imaginative, but yet also unobtrusive and always keeping it real. In fact, that's it: he's the real deal. Don't think you can leave your photography to your best friend with the latest iphone. It will never match what Tyler can do.

The best photographer we could've asked for! The minute I met Tyler, I knew he would be the perfect choice to photograph our wedding day! The images that he was able to capture we will never forget! Words cannot truly express just how grateful our nonprofit is for Wirken Photography. Tyler pours his heart into all that he does. He takes breathtaking images and in doing so, captures moments and memories that may not otherwise be verbalized or shared due to our campers' differences in communication and socialization skills. Becca is UN-believable. I admit that I poo-pooed Wirken initially, thinking they were too expensive. Then I compared their website versus their competitors. Yeah, it was no contest. I knew right then and there that magical wedding photos were totally worth the scrilla ($). And let me just say that Becca has only exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Wirken (Becca in particular) and am really glad that we hired them.
I would hire them again in a heartbeat. She was also an absolute pleasure to work with. Sidenote: I'm pretty sure Becca's camera uses performance-enhancing substances -- not sure how else she could be so frickin' good!
