A Beautiful Day Photography

Daniel photographed both our engagement photos and our wedding day. Everything turned out perfectly, with great photos of everyone (especially the candids). Daniel is very professional and accommodating, and we can't recommend him highly enough!

Daniel gave us an amazing experience for our wedding. It was better than we ever expected. Our pictures were perfectly candid and not forced at all. His photography really captured our personalities, moods, and happiness. We will cherish these photos forever! Thank you so much Daniel!

First off, Daniel is truly amazing! Ten years ago, he photographed my wedding to my late husband, and these beautiful pictures are such an incredible treasure to me. He captured each and every special moment and look without us knowing he was even there. Everyone was wowed with how wonderful our pictures turned out. This April, I was lucky enough to have Daniel photograph my second wedding to another good man:) I was thrilled! Daniel is friendly, so helpful, wonderful with guests, and has a knack for capturing things as they happen.

Our wedding day was a mix of crazy wind, rain, and sunshine at Golden Gardens, and he somehow managed to still snap beautiful pictures for us to treasure (and laugh at:). I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

The photos on Daniel's website show a sampling of the fine quality that he provides, but they don't do justice to show the service and editorial expertise that he brings to the table. When we found Daniel, we found a photographer who provided us with photographs that captured the emotions and intimate details of the entire day. Working with Daniel before, during, and after the wedding was smooth and easy.

He was flexible and helped us out with details that went far beyond the photography of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, his style was non-intrusive while he captured every moment that mattered. After the wedding, he was able to reconstitute the emotions of the day with a brilliantly organized, high quality book of our wedding photos. With Daniel's unique experience, he brought a photojournalist's eye and sense that many other photographers can't offer.

He was able to capture the atmosphere and emotions of our day in a way that even the video footage doesn't show. Daniel provided us with the service and photographs that help us to remember moments throughout our day that may otherwise have been forgotten.

As other reviewers here have noted, he took his Pulitzer Prize-winning eye for emotion and documentary behind the scenes, days before the actual event, to record and portray the run-up frenzy. Then, during the day, he caught those moments we most wanted to remember, and now cherish.

Daniel was highly recommended by our wedding planner. My husband and I were lucky to have Daniel shoot our last minute engagement photo in Seattle (we were planning long distance from San Diego) and have him and Monica on our wedding day. Daniel and his family are incredibly sweet and very welcoming. He's great at making you feel comfortable and the quality of his work exceeded our expectations. Monica was wonderful at making sure I held my flowers at the right height which came out very well in photos (something I didn't think about). We wanted Daniel because of his panoramic work which distinguishes his work from other photographers. We highly recommend Daniel and Monica!

In planning our wedding, one of our top priorities was to have an amazing photographer. We knew the day would come and go at lightning speed, and we wanted to be sure our photographs would capture its essence. Our hope was that when we looked at the photos in years to come, we would be able to experience the day all over again. Daniel Sheehan was exactly what we were looking for.

When our pictures came back I was absolutely blown away. Daniel captured the pure joy and love we all felt, while being unobtrusive. I swear I don't know where he was standing when he took some of my favorites. When it comes to candid and honest moments, Daniel is your guy through and through. And I absolute love the panorama - what a wonderful way to remember our wedding day.

Since our wedding was in the fall I was worried about getting pictures back in time for Christmas cards and gifts. Daniel worked with us to send us some favorites as he edited them so that we could get them printed, which was extremely generous of him and his time. He also was very willing to negotiate prices to make his services fit with our budget.

My only comment would be that he seemed less comfortable with group/posed shots. Our engagement session was much shorter than I expected - we got some great ones but my favorites were all the candid moments in between the set up shots. It's not so much a criticism as a suggestion that you make sure you find a photographer whose style matches your preferences. Daniel worked wonders for us because he used his photojournalistic talents to help us remember some wonderful moments.

He truly has a gift and if you want hundreds (if not thousands) of photos capturing those moments, Daniel will truly not disappoint. I agree with the reviewer below that his sense of storytelling is second to none. He was a pleasure to work with throughout this year!
