Jennifer Barger
Founder
Hello and thank you for visiting! My name is Jennifer Barger, and I am The Photo Chick. Yes, it's a quirky sort of name for a business, but then I'm a quirky sort of gal. The name came about from customers referring to me as that photo chick over the years. It stuck.
So, a little more about me? I'll be turning 28 years old in 2o12, I've been married for about 9 years to my husband Tony, and I've got two kids a 5-year-old boy named Osker and 1-year-old girl named June. I've been running my photography business, in one form or another, for just about 10 years now. Most of that time I advertised mostly via word-of-mouth, and I was simply Jennifer Barger, Photographer. Last year I relaunched in a more professional manner as The Photo Chick, and I've been putting everything I can muster into my business. It's hard work and I love it!
When you first meet me, you probably wouldn't assume that I'm a champion of small-town America. I do enjoy my vintage clothes, indie rock music, Internet-fueled geekery, literature, and culture in general, but I also grew up poor and I don't take much for granted. I love living in rural America, but I also enjoy visiting cities and experiencing all the culture and people.
