I'm Brett Deutsch, co-owner and chief photographer of Gotham Family Photos, Headshots NYC, and Deutsch Photography. No matter who I photograph - a newborn infant, an expectant mom, a gathering of five generations, or a family touring NYC - I want the images to be truthful and powerful. I'm a documentarian at heart, so I like to capture a sliver of story in every photograph.

After fifteen years as a family photographer, family photo shoots still fascinate me. Families are like fingerprints: every single one is unique. I've photographed families of every color, of all ages, single generations and multiple generations. I've shot family portraits with as many as 30 people and as few as two (and occasionally one of those is a dog!).

This was not only a fun shoot, but something that my husband and I will have and remember forever. We did a "family" shoot of me, my husband and our 2 English Bulldogs and we were blown away by the images we got back. It is NOT easy to shoot 2 dogs and especially if one is a puppy, but Gotham Family Photos ROCKED it! Thank you guys so much for the INCREDIBLE images we will have and cherish!

Family Photo Shoot in Brooklyn! My wife and I along with out 7 year old son spent a few fantastic days in NYC and had the opportunity to spend some time with Brett and do some family photos! We all braved the heat on one of the hottest days in NYC history : Brett was on time and had some great ideas for pictures both on Brooklyn Bridge and surrounding area.
Great shots from the park with the skyline in the back! Brett is super responsive to emails, super easy to work with and you would not be disappointed. The pictures were amazing, could not be more pleased. Thanks again for the amazing pictures and memories

My family can not express enough how much we appreciate the work Brett did for us. The photographs are so much more than what we could have ever imagined. Brett portrayed our family so perfectly. I couldn't have been more pleased with Brett's professionalism, creativity and even his willingness to help carry my 6 yr old around when his feet hurt from the new shoes I made him wear. No dad stars for me, but I'd give Brett more than 5 stars if there were an option. We are Texas boys making memories in a big city and Gotham Family Photos nailed it for us! If you are looking for a great photographer with fantastic people skills and a more than fair price. Call GFP! Brett is very responsive and attentive!
