Special Memories Photography was created to offer consumers comprehensive high quality wedding photography at budget minded prices. This is a Christian owned and operated business, and as such, we will strive to give you high quality work for the lowest possible prices, and to run our business by the Golden Rule. We will strive to treat you the way we would want to be treated.

For example, at Special Memories we include all the high resolution digital files for your pictures on CD or DVD with with all packages. Our reprint prices are also 60-75% less than most studios, but we don't skimp on quality. This saves you hundreds of dollars in costly reprints. The normal cost for reprints with other photographers can be $25-30 for a single 8 by 10 reprint. We charge $9. Most other photographers wouldn't think of giving you the digital files. They need to charge high prices for reprints to pay the rent on their big studios. In addition, we do black and white photography at no extra charge. There are no additional charges for extra locations. Special requests are no problem. It's your wedding, we'll do it your way.

The photographer has studied photography at Olivet Nazarene University where he is currently a professor, and has also studied photography through The New York Institute of Photography, one of the nation's oldest and finest photography schools. We have been serving the greater Kankakee area for 12 years. With that experience we have learned to be prepared for almost any situation so that you can rest at ease knowing the job will be done right. I always come prepared with two cameras, two flashes, extra memory cards, extra batteries, etc. I am the only one who takes the photographs there are no staff photographers like some of the large studios.

We also use professional quality developing labs that provide special wedding proofing services - all photos are video analyzed and corrected for color and density. I use Canon EOS and Nikon professional digital SLR camera systems utilizing computer assisted focus, metering, exposure, and advanced i-TTL flash exposure control to help ensure consistent quality pictures. We use professional quality acid-free wedding albums and accessories.
