Asked for too much apparently. Spent 270 dollars with high hopes of getting feedback on ensuring color would come out as first image. Got a dull metal print instead. This was supposed to evoke awe and it's just quite dull in print. Sent notes and called and was assured my thoughts and requests would be considered. Feel like I wasted money, although I'm trying to see the glass half full. Update*** After giving them a call, they owned up the error and have said they will send the right print expeditiously. Customer service saved on this order. Just wish they read the notes earlier.

Horrible customer service. Way longer production times than what they have stated on the website. I called the customer service phone # 3 times and finally got someone who would answer the phone, wanting to know why my order was still not to me within their time limit. Only answer I got was rude, "sorry you decided to order at the end of a school year, you will just have to wait." I will never order from Bay Photo again. Been a customer for 9 years, it used to be great, not anymore.

I placed an order to have a scholarship project I was working on printed with bay photo. They were uncommunicative when it came to problem in completing the project, which I only found out when I phoned them. I ended up having to cancel the printing, and now might miss the deadline for my scholarship. So if you have a choice go elsewhere.

The team at Bay Photo lab worked with me through multiple revisions to get my panoramic 3 metal prints (20 x 20) to absolute perfection! Definitely use the "sheer gloss" finish if getting metal. It looks amazing on water, sky, buildings by letting the metal reflect light through the print. Highly recommended!

Excellent customer service and amazing quality! I ordered 3 large (36x24) metal prints and they came out looking incredible! My clients were very pleased with the quality as well. Would definitely recommend! These photos do not do justice to the actual product because the prints were still inside their protective plastic.

I am an aspiring photographer, I did art shows all over Cali. with my photography printed at bay photo, I did ok, very difficult. I have spent thousands on metal prints at bay photo! It is extremely difficult to sell metal print and now bay photo has raised their prices, not fair. Bay photo priced me way out of business, I'm done. I appreciate all of the great customer support over the years, but again, ,I m done

I'm an experienced amateur photographer who was looking to print large format metal prints for the first time. Bay Photo gave me lots of helpful advice, including things to watch out for with scaling and metal prints in particular. Considering that I'm not a professional, I'd consider this to be superior customer service. After a few rounds of proofing, the 40" to 45" prints were shipped super-securely, and they look fantastic on my wall. I'll definitely use Bay Photo again for my next project.

Some of the worst customer service I have ever received. I had difficulties with their horrible software Bay ROES and tried numerous times to get the application to work. After much back and forth and trying various fixes I got an incredible rude and snarky person from Customer Support to try and help me. She was not at all helpful and ended up hanging up on me. I will not be using this company for any photo printing.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I seriously regret choosing this company. I ordered ONE metal print about 3 weeks ago - I spoke to customer service about 8 different times at this point and they keep saying "Ok we'll put a rush on this", "Oh this is due to COVID and being understaffed", and "we can't promise anything but we'll try". I'm writing this review because the last customer service rep I spoke this morning (I WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW WHEN I GET HER NAME) was extremely rude and kept talking over me while I was explaining this gift was for my boyfriend whose dog just passed away and I was hoping to give it on a timely manner.
She yelled to say I should probably just cancel my order instead of offering any other solutions (perhaps me changing the framing if framing is the part that is causing the delay?). She got frustrated at ME while I was just trying to confirm they have my order set to ship overnight, which I paid for. This was such a terrible experience, extremely unprofessional.
I ordered my ONE print on 12/20/21 and it is now 1/5/2021. and they said they are still working on orders that were entered on 12/12/2021. This should give you an idea of how backed up they are and not really finding any solutions for their customers. My fear now is that this CUSTOMER SERVICE REP cancelled my order out of spite. I'm sure she's sick of her job and hates having to respond to the same question everyday but here's my advice to her: 'You signed up for it!
You should take the proper training to be able to deal with customers effectively. You should also take some anger management classes while you're at it." (Update on this: I spoke to the Supervisor, Ashly, and she was able to help me out more. I am changing this from 1 star to 2 stars. Will consider updating it to 3+ stars or deleting this entirely when I receive my order.)

Long time customer of BayPhoto. While the quality of their work is excelletn, there apps leave a lot to be desired. Specifically, the BayRoes app is in sore need to be redesigned and rewritten. All modern apps have menuing systems and context sensitive menus right click, Additionally I don't know of any other app that defaults to text so small you need a magnifying glass to read it.
The workaround is iffy and somewhat quirky. While text support is generally knowledgeable, there clearly are issues with the way they attempt to navigate through the system. The fact that there is no 'Back Button' to return to the previous screen is unacceptable and illustrates the fact that this app was designed and programmed for a previous generation of users and equipment. Bayphoto states that BayRoes is geared to the professional user.
Well what professional photographer would not have a 4k monitor today. The default should be full scale fonts through-out the system. Lastly, Why is there no option to display thumbnails and previews in full resolution with accurate colors being portrayed. Very difficult to determine if photo is correctly colored Anthony Donato, IBM System Engineer

Service has gone downhill ever since they were sold to Circle Graphics company. I spent $12,470 will them in 2020 and $10,909 with them this year. So I'm a regular customer. Shipping on time seems to be an issue and frames are damaged upon arrival about 20% of the time. The canvas prints occasionally have minor defects, but less than frames. Photo prints have always been good and so have metals.
Color consistency is very good though. Customer service is very good on the phone while email support is not very responsive. I'd consider them an average lab but a few years ago I considered them a top lab. I'll still use them, because of the color consistency, but I would recommend against using them for frames, especially with delays in shipping.
I ordered a frame 15 days ago and it still hasn't started production. EDIT 12/28/21 - Bay photo responded. I appreciate this. However, they have not responded to either of the 2 emails I sent (sent 8 days ago and 5 days ago). They just responded to this review. I understand their issue with the supply chain, but this was never communicated to me until I wrote this review.
There is one way I believe they can improve. * Respond to emails within 48 hours and tell us what is going on. For example. "I'm sorry, we've had unexpected issues with the supply chain. I know you wanted this before Christmas but we don't have an update on when they frames will be finished. We will ship it as soon as we can. Again we are very sorry for the issue and hope to have it resolved soon"

I ordered an expensive laminated image panel with an inset mount. Although I had already highlighted and adjusted the photo on my I-phone, I selected the online option to have it "corrected, " by Bay Photo's "professional photographers" for the best possible presentation. When I received the product, I was extremely disappointed. It was dark, dull, and showed no sign of the slightest color or lighting adjustment. Indeed, my own print, in the very same size from my home computer, was FAR superior to the job done by Bay Photo.
Upon receipt, I immediately called them and asked for a refund after explaining my disappointment. To their credit, they promptly agreed to refund my money. I will never order from them again.

I received short notice that I was selected for a 3-month show, so I was worried that I would not be able to get framed canvas prints and unframed metal prints in time to hang. Today, they all arrived and look great. And --well ahead of time. I also worried when small thumbnails during my order that looked dark on 2 photos. I mentioned that in my comments and they corrected that before delivering.
It was very useful to request digital delivery of the files they intend to use for processing because I could see exactly what they intended to print. If I had had more time, I might have requested their offer of 5 free test prints per year, just to make sure my monitor calibration is close to theirs.

I was taken in by their great paper selection (Hahnemuehle, Canson, Moab, etc.) and their marketing thinking that they do high quality work. This was a mistake. They have very low-quality printers and no paper can remedy that. Many prints came back with visible streaks from possibly clogged or low ink heads. Very harsh banding on almost all the prints.
I had to go back and dig up their ICC profile and realized that no amount of adjusting was going to help with my prints. And so, their prices are very high for what you actually get. I should also mention, like others have noted, their customer service is very bad. No replies for days and the production time was much longer than what they touted on their website.
It took 7 days instead of 1 day (!) for them to print. Whenever I asked about the status of my order they simply said that my account will update when the prints are shipped. No ETA, no explanation. I made a complaint about my order, but never heard back again. They effectively drained my print budget and offered no apology and no options for return/refund.
This is a consumer printer for people who print photos for their cats, aunts and uncles. If you're a professional or semi-professional, stay away. Don't waste your money. UPDATE: I was finally issued a refund, and so I'm adding a star. My comment on the quality still stands and I still found their customer service to be obtuse. Make sure to check the ICC and get test prints. I recommend Miller's Lab as an alternative to this vendor.

This lab did a wonderful job on an acrylic enlargement I wanted done. I've never attempted something like this since I am a hobbyist. They were amazingly helpful and patient with me through the process and eased all my concerns. The final product came out wonderfully and got probably the best quality I could get with my basic photography/editing skills. I will certainly continue to use them.

I've been a customer since 2003. I've spent thousands of dollars with this company. A client that I have told me the 15+ (16x20) acrylic mounted prints were starting to yellow. So, here's where it all starts: 1. I call Bay Photo to let them know what has happened and they need each order number- there are over 15 from over 15 years ago and they want each order numb er. LOL So, I tell them there's no chance that I have a history of every order number. 2.
They tell me to take photos of the prints and email them to customer service, specifically to Jennifer Brugman who happens to be the supervisor of that department. So, I send to Jennifer and I wait for a response. After a few days, I get no response. Then after a week, I write her saying that my client is very upset with this and that I need a solution immediately.
She finally emails me back and says that now I have to send a few of the prints back to them. At this point, I have Jennifer Brugman's manager, Tiffanie Morrasy part of the email thread. 3. I call my client apologizing for the delay and saying that now they want the actual prints back to review them. So, my client who you can imagine is getting more frustrated at this time tells me to come and pick them up.
So I do, then I pack them up and send them to Bay Photo. They received the prints over a week ago and they know I'm needing an answer. I've email twice with no response and today I decided to call and speak with a "manager, " because at this point, nobody is helping me. Jennifer Brugman happens to answer the call and know's it's me calling.
I first say I 'd like to please speak with a manager and she says that Tiffanie Morrasy is who she will connect me to. So instead of connecting me, she disconnects the call. Now what am I to do except get the attention of someone at Bay Photo who actually cares to take care of their customer. I hope to hear from you soon, I will continue to write reviews until I am taken care of. Jimmy F

Never having been a customer, I called Bay Photo Lab to ask a question. I spoke with Brandy C. and was amazed with her willingness to help me with a project I was doing with another company. Even knowing that Brandy was very friendly and super professional. She even let me send her the photos I was working with so she could check out my problem and see what she could do to advise me. This is what I call awesome customer service. Now I know where to go with my next project. I highly recommend this company.

Placed an order for a 40x60" print, 2 weeks later it's still not printed. I was never notified there was a problem with the order, I called customer service and was told it was in production and would ship that day or the next. This did not happen. Several days later I reached out again and was assured it would ship out the next day, this did not happen.
I called again today and their printer is down and they have no ETA. I'm guaranteed to lose business with my client. I shouldn't have to continually call, sit through long (20min+) wait times for a customer service rep to be told - it's going out tomorrow when that's not actually the case. I feel completely lied to. When I asked why I wasn't notified about the issue, I was told - "we can't contact hundreds of people when a printer breaks down." Something needs to change. There needs to be a notice in my account when there's an issue with an order. Way more transparency and honesty needed.

Amateur photographers first time experience with Bay Photo and I must say I am THRILLED with the results. I was concerned how I would crop, position my photos and their site made it incredibly easy and simple to do. Photos were very well packaged and arrived in pristine condition. Quality is outstanding- could not be more pleased. Looking forward to my next order! HIGHLY recommended!

I am extremely happy with my 8x10 prints from Bay Photo! They really went above and beyond any experience I've had with other commercial labs like Costco and Shutterfly. Most of my pictures are from my iPhone and I can definitely see a difference in sharpness and color with my prints. - Offers a complimentary sample of their different paper surfaces and textures if you aren't sure what works best for your project. - Easy to use online interface. - Color correction they do is awesome.
This was recommended to me choose by someone on IG, but I'm glad I did. Their adjustments were spot on. - A+ on packing the prints to ensure they weren't damaged in the mail. They layered the prints between a thin soft packing layer, thin bag, cardboard and put into a hard photo-friendly box. - Fast turnaround. They offer a Welcome coupon code to apply to your entire first order. I didn't know what to expect from this company, but now that I know, I wish I ordered more! I hope they offer return customers discounts periodically.

Great results on 12 metal prints I have gotten since 2014. Some required extensive editing by Bay Photo. I have gotten sizes from 9 x 12 to 24 x 30. When I uploaded the jpg for the 24 x 30 I got a message that the print would be pixelated because not enough resolution. I shot pic with my iPhone, which didn't allow me to increase the resolution.
I retook the photo with a Nikon, which did have sufficient resolution, BUT the shot was done at a different time. The original I took had a cloud that was attractive. Bay Photo Photo Shopped the Nikon version to add the cloud. They also removed an ugly power line and improved the exposure. This extra work was only $16. All of the prints I have gotten are metal, but with different finishes depending on where they were going to be displayed.
Sometimes glossy is good, but where there could be light bouncing off the print I use matte. I also got one in an Exterior grade for display outside. Some people have complained about customer service. I have had excellent results. On some of my jobs I had to make several contacts to revise proofs. I was also given partial refunds when needed without any flak.

Worst customer service. I ordered a print on 12/13 and it's not coming until the 27th. I was told on multiple occasions it was shipping out "that day" and it never did. My other orders came within 3 days usually, even during the pandemic (a few days prior to this order) I wouldn't recommend using them. There are better more professional labs that can ship within a reasonable time.

I've been ordering photo prints online for my amatuer photo hobby, and after several orders I have to say I'm very impressed with Bay Photo. I use their online ordering system, uploading full size photos and then selecting how and what i want printed. The system is easy to use and access to help topics and training is extensive. I highly recccomend using them for prints. you will totally see the difference between using chain stores versus a dedicated team of pros!
My only gripe is the time-frame communication after ordering. You'll see zero movement from "ordered" for days until a sudden "shipped " notice, and the ship estimate date is not even close.

I found Bayphoto seemingly out of nowhere, and boy am I glad I did. $90 for two good medium-large prints with frames? I'll gamble and try this out.but WOW. I did not expect the colors to pop like that! I'm just putting these up in my bedroom and I feel like I need to rent space in an art fair now just to show off the frame/printing itself.
My artwork is normally vivid digitally and flatter when printed, but it looks like legitimate paint strokes, and the darker colors stay vivid without getting mixed and washed out. I don't have enough space on my walls, because I want to order 10 more of these!

Really disappointed in the colors of the metal prints I ordered. I had test printed on regular photo paper before submitting, and still the metal prints had dull, dark colors that were off. Also: for smaller (8x10 and 5x7), the images lost a lot of resolution and fine detail. Two stars because they were shipped securely, and they refunded my order at my request.
They tried to convince me to let them try again, but they couldn't explain what went wrong and wouldn't let me speak to anyone in the lab to troubleshoot "because this is not a Mom and Pop operation." Photo attached to show difference between test print and metal print received.

Uploaded jpg for metal print. received today and over a 1/2" was cropped out which removed the date on the bottom right side of the uploaded jpg. I was told by chat that my jpg was 8"x10.667", thus.667" had to be cut off. I took the jpg picture with a droid phone, so i have no idea if this is correct or not. The software does not notify of the cropping when ordering, otherwise i could have moved the date over to the left. Thanks for a nice metal pic. with out the date.
