Kathy is great teacher. Her private lessons are very helpful and I highly recommend booking a lesson with her especially as a new student.

I have taken several classes with Kathy and have always been pleased. She has great patience to go over things when it is not understood the first time. very knowledgeable in using different cameras and computers for editing.

Kathy People is so friendly and helpful. She really was able to teach me to learn my camera. There is just so much to learn when you get a new camera and the manual just can not compare to Kathy's classes. I also loved the workshop to special locations throughout the area. Having the one on one was very helpful. I will be sending all my friends to her classes and workshops as well. Thank you Kathy, you are truly amazing with your teaching!

So I just finished my 3rd class with Katydid. I have to say it gets better every week. I understand what my camera does. Kathy has a ton of knowledge and is able to start at a level that anyone can understand and build you up. I have watched 100's of youtube videos about taking pictures and it upsets me. I will never get the time back in my life. Those videos just tell you how they set up the camera.

Every video you watch confuses you more. Kathy teaches you about your camera. DO YOU HEAR ME? YOUR CAMERA. Not her camera or a generic camera, your camera. Kathy has worked with most of the makes and models of camera so she know what they can do. Kathy knows the multiple menus in your camera and what it all means. I have one more class and a field trip that we are all going on.

I really look forward to the classes. It has been a long time since I was excited about learning something new. So if you want to see what you and your camera are capable of. I took Katy's four week beginners camera class this September and absolutely loved it. Katy went over basic camera settings such as aperture, ISO shutter speeds and white balance. At the end of the four weeks, I was amazed at what I learned and how much I didn't know what my camera could do. Katy teach style is also unique, she not only teaches you what you need to know but also engages her students in activities and answers all questions throughly.

She is also a lot of fun to work with and has a great personality. I would recommend her class to anyone who has a DSLR and who wants to learn how to use for more then the auto settings.

I have been working with Kathy at Katydid photography for over 10 years and she is the best! Our relationship was mostly for business purposes, however we have also hired her for family events as well, and her skills are amazing. My wife and her friend took one of her photography classes and really learned a ton about basic photography and how to best utilize our Nikon camera. At Katydid Photography, Kathy Peoples takes beautiful photos and offers classes that teach students how to take their own photos. She even has classes so you can further edit your art with Adobe programs. After taking Kathy's beginner's digital camera class, I learned so much that I didn't even know was possible with a camera! I know now how to use features of my camera and what to look for when taking an awesome picture of my backyard or family vacation. Kathy Peoples is a wonderful teacher who is with you every step of the way. I definitely recommend Katydid to anyone in the area who is considering learning more about photography.
