Photo Zone is a second generation family owned and run business. My father, Mickey, was an avid amateur photographer throughout his youth and when, in 1962, a neighbor mentioned that his brother had a camera store in the little town of Bernardsville, NJ and was interested in selling it, my father jumped at the opportunity.

I went to Soundwaves today and had a remote radar detector mute/alert switch installed in my 2021 Maserati Levante. Based on good online reviews and some information I received that the do many local dealer installations. I thought I would try them out. I was not disappointed. There was a Porsche GT3 being worked on as I drove in. I already owned a Escort360 max from a previous vehicle.
So I suction cupped it to my front window. The Installer ran and hid the wiring from the smartcord mute/alert switch from my radar detector directly to my fuse box. Installation was done fast and carefully and the button was placed in my desired discrete location. See pic. it blends right in and is barely noticeable when you are sitting in the car and works great! Installation was excellent. I highly recommended Rory and Crew.

Surprised this place doesn't have a higher rating. I purchased an after market MMI CarPlay retrofit display and front camera for my BMW X1 from Bimmertech and needed it installed. I called around 3 auto shops in the area and was told by all 3 that they don't do this kind of work and 2 of them referred me to Sound Waves directly. Getting in touch with them and on the schedule was super easy and they were extremely accommodating with moving me around after I blew out my tire two days prior to the appointment so I could get it fixed first.
Happy with the install, everything looks clean and like nothing was every done. Everything functions as it should and the guy even took the time to go through the new system functionality with me without me having to ask. They even cleaned the goop from an old car mount I had glued to my dash that came off. Now that is what I call 5 star service! Considering getting a remote start and would coming back here in a heartbeat if I decide to pull the trigger on that in the future.

2019 F-150 Lariat - Upgraded stereo with high end amplifier & speakers & sub-woofer. Installation was as if it was stock from the factory. Work was performed in the Spring of 2021 but still just as happy with the sound quality and installation. Couple weeks later I had cab lights installed - that too came out perfect. Looking like installed from the factory/dealership.
They do great work. During this COVID-19 time, there are chip shortages that I could see was challenging their inventory. But, the recommended hardware for the stereo was able to finagled. Five star service!

I've brought 4 SUV's to sound waves to get the front 2 windows tinted. My most recent was a brand new Tesla (2 days old) They did a nice job and had car back when promised but they damaged/chipped my window trim on both sides! I noticed when I got home and didn't complain but I'm heart broken. Tesla windows come down an inch upon opening because they are frameless but if not done correctly it'll damage trim like seen here. Picked up car at Tesla dealer 1pm on Wednesday and Sound Waves hurt it Friday, 48 hours later I took a black sharpie to a 55k car

Such a great experience at Sound Waves today. Had an appointment for window tinting and was extremely satisfied with the customer service from start to finish. The work is absolutely phenomenal and I couldn't ask for more. I was informed from start to finish on how the job was going. Highly recommend!

I have been a customer of Sound Waves for about 10 years. They are experts at installations on your vehicle whatever your needs are. Also have gotten vehicles tint done there. They are always perfect, have a great seating area to wait, free internet, a rest room, etc. Easy to get to, just half mile off Rt 80. Highly recommended and the staff are very knowledgeable with any questions about products, etc.

I have not hired these guys to work on my Jeep Wrangler, however after my initial visit I must say I am impressed. I am looking forward to seeing what they can do. On my consultation they were honest and straight forward. I haven't discussed pricing nor time to complete work however I will update this review once we get her done.

This review is long overdue. I had few things done with them in the past and had never had an issue, but a few months ago I decided to install a birds eye view on my car, the image quality was terrible so i called them and told them it was best for this to be uninstalled. They asked me to bring my car in and after it was removed i was informed that there would be a charge for removing it!
The product was terrible how could they charge to remove something they installed and was horrible? They will try to nickel and dime you for everything. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I had a great experience at Sound Waves. I dealt mostly with Vinny, and throughout the process I found him to be responsive to my questions (looking into further details and options and getting back to me quickly) and direct about the cost of each option. My issue was a quarter that got into my cd slot and into the radio. Further complication was a blown speaker in the right passenger door.
I optioned to repair my current radio which required Sound Waves to remove the radio, ship it to their repair contact, and reinstall the radio when it returned. When they hooked the radio up they discovered the sound was still distorted and checked each speaker until they found the one that was blown. Again, options and pricing were given for that repair, and the work was done quickly.
After the last repair I noticed that the door lock on the panel that was removed to fix the speaker wasn't working properly (hadn't been an issue the previous time the panel was removed for diagnostics). Called and brought the car in - repair was made quickly and at no cost to me. Radio is working great so far and no issue with the door lock since the repair a couple of days ago. I'd recommend this company, and I would recommend working with Vinny. Appreciated the time he took to find out all options and further details that would make me comfortable with going forward on the repairs that were needed. Thanks : ) Linda H.

Overpriced for no reason. The girl quotes me $4000 for 8 speakers and one amp! Drove to Samm Sound and got it done for $500. Go to Samm Sound where they won't give you the high roller price. This day and age it's insulting to sell overpriced items. Also insulting to have people try to rip customers off. Go to Samm Sound for a fair price. I can post the quote but, I'll save this business from further embarrassment.

This place Sound-Wave, is like what one of the feedback mentioned, the personnel are some kind of rude and not very responsible. I had some work doing there, and when they are done, the car came with some issues in the door lock, I don't know what they did but wasn't right. They said that are not responsible.

They tried to overcharge my girlfriend for a remote car starter to be installed in a Toyota Carolla. There is no way that it should cost $600 for this - Ridiculous. Obviously we did not go through with this so I cannot comment on the quality of work. However, judging by my initial experience, it seems a bit suspect.

I stopped in here looking to replace a blown speaker in my car. I was interested in upgrading them to something better. I drive a 10-year old Nissan and didn't need top of the line, but wanted a decent replacement. The young salesman was quite rude and tried to up-sell me to a 'high end' speaker brand. I've never heard of the brand he was speaking of and was weary of its quality.
I asked to listen to them - he refused. He was, however patient with me about listening to my own CD and to other speakers he had, but tried to arrogantly sway my opinion. I am a professional audio engineer by trade and was critical of each speaker's sound. I understand the limitations of car speakers, as they're not studio monitors, but I still want to enjoy my experience.
I choose some moderately priced Kenwood speakers as the ones I liked best - and he scoffed at my choice. Also, upon getting me a price quote, his colleague also had the same condescending attitude. As if I didn't like this expensive no name brand, I wasn't 'cool'. Ya know what, buddy. I'll go somewhere else. And to somebody who actually wants to help me out.

I had purchased a receiver for my vintage MB and was planning to upgrade it on my own. I stopped in to see what it would cost to have SW do it. Not only was it affordable but they did it while I waited with 30 mins. No issues and it sounds great. Save me from a lot of frustration. They have a great shop with everything you might need or want in the A/V arena.

I was attempting to update my maps on my Kenwood Navigation Stereo. All of sudden the whole system shut down. I called Sound Waves and they said to bring it in. A short while later I was on my way with everything working just fine. The entire staff was outgoing and helpful. I strongly recommend Sound Waves for all your entertainment needs both in your vehicles and home.
