Bruce and staff were extremely professional and made us feel at ease during all of my daughter's Senior Photo Shoots. The beauty he captured and the quality of both the photos he took, as well as the printed photos were exceptional! Bruce did a great job and really made my daughter feel comfortable and special during her sessions. Can't wait for future sessions.

One of the worst experiences with a business I have ever had. There was a month delay in ordering our photographs. Multiple technical problems when they could not schedule when the computer was down, tried again, could not review our pictures after they were taken because the 'computer was down, ' third time even after scheduling an appointment to view the pictures there were again technical difficulties, fourth attempt at viewing the pictures they were posted online and we could not find them as they were posted under the wrong time frame, we were finally able to pick the pictures up and they did not order what was ordered and stated they took the liberty at changing our order without communication.
We were not notified they changed our order. We had to deliver the initial pictures in disappointment as they were cheap cardboard fold outs (not at all what we had ordered, nor one of the options we even had). I would spend my money elsewhere.

Thank you, Bruce! You are truly the best! We love our pictures! Anyone in Oregon who needs or wants portraits taken, Bruce Berg Photography is the very best! Besides his professionalism, and ability to capture amazing photos, he is one of the nicest and genuine humans I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He did my senior pictures in 1990 and we have had him take family pictures and portraits of our daughter for the last 5 years. Let him bless you and your family with his creativity and genuine desire to capture the beauty of family.

Terrible experience with smoke and mirrors with regards to pricing. They told my daughter the cost was $295, then when we came in to see the proofs, they played a big game with high pressure tactics to sell highly overpriced images when this was only a graduation photoshoot with no need for wall prints, etc. Also, upon presenting the proofs to us, they tried to pass off an over-exposed image as a creative black and white image. They couldn't even be up front that they made a mistake and tried to cover it up. Bruce and his staff are very "old school" and should be avoided like the plague.

Getting into that basement for the high pressure sales technique was like nothing I've ever experienced from another photographer, and the quality of photography had no more depth and art than just a random person taking snapshots. There are better photographers in town, you won't have a hard time finding one. Shop around for somebody who won't be so stingy with digital copies and so high pressure about trying to sell you on framing your photographs as a fake painting. -- edit on 8/25, because Bruce had already showed a willingness to personally attack negative reviewers, I tweaked my name before posting the review, you can tell that he searched his archives to try to figure out who I was and why he should attack me.
I promise, I sat on the couch in the basement, talked pleasantly about the upsides and downsides of putting carpet on a basement floor (they've had leaks and had to replace the carpet, but it didn't smell damp or mildewy at all), and then I completely shut down and never turned back after being put through their sales process. I just noticed Andrew G's review, and totally matches my experience. Seriously though, even aside from that, his stodgy old fashioned portrait photography is pretty lifeless.

Bruce has taken our family portraits over the years and also some personal headshots. He has an amazing depth of knowledge and ability regarding composition, lighting and setting. He has a way of making all of us comfortable and communicates clearly and effectively to ensure we are obtaining the final product desired. I have always been extremely impressed by his work and would highly recommend him especially for weddings, portraits and personal work. Amazing, professional and the highest quality - truly a very wise investment in obtaining lasting memorable treasures.

When I hear the expression a picture says a thousand words I think of Bruce Berg. He has an eye for the beautiful and the moment. My wife and I hired him for our wedding in Hawaii and he gave us pictures that truly capture what we were feeling and seeing. He is so easy to work with and a true pleasure, he even let me make suggestions for the poses and pictures. If you have the opportunity, use Bruce as your photographer. You will not regret it!

I had my wedding pictures done by Bruce Berg. I was more than happy with the services he provided. Bruce and his staff went above and beyond! It was such a special day for my husband I. A lot of the day was a little bit of a blur. But luckily, by choosing Bruce as the photograoher, everytime I look at the pictures I get to literally RE-LIVE that day over and over again.
I bought the Platinum package which included a free engagement session and a LARGE credit towards a beautiful wedding album! (The one that gets me to tears everytime I look at it) Plus Bruce took pictures from 9 AM at the salon, guests arriving, through the dinner, all the traditional dances, bouquet toss, cake cutting, etc! He captured every moment.
My favorite experience with Bruce was when I had my appointment to look through all the photos he had a special gift for me that I will treasure for a lifetime. He is a one of a kind photographer. I strongly recommend Bruce and his staff.

My youngest sister had her senior pictures taken by Bruce at Bruce Berg Photography. The whole experience was fun and special for all of us who took part in it, and we were floored with the quality of the resulting products. Having initially met with a female employee who helped her describe her creative likes and dislikes, interests and personality, my sis was able to give her opinions about the type and style of photos and photo session she wanted.
There were certainly lots of choices, styles and options available! Amazingly, Bruce was able to create and capture wonderful pictures of a teenager who dislikes being subjected to family photo sessions, and often refuses to smile or even look remotely engaged or approachable for the camera. The man is talented (and great with surly teens, apparently!).
My sis is a photographer herself, and she really liked "talking shop" with Bruce during her session. I helped plan my sister's outfits, makeup and hair styling as well as offering my opinion with mom about which photos should be selected for the final prints. The difference in the experience between my senior photos and my sister's was significant. Bruce's business catered to making my sis feel like a mini-celebrity.
Small details like a sign on the dressing room door with her name on it, a small basket of wardrobe fixers, bottled water, and extras were waiting her in the dressing room. Having an indoor studio with lots of decor ideas, and having Bruce take some lovely outdoor photos in some really cool scenery/backdrops was unexpected and fun. The decision-making was the toughest element of the whole process.
The screening room was a great place to look at all the photos, and the woman who assisted us was patient, friendly and very nice, considering it took us awhile to reach a decision. Yes, the photos and packages are pricey, but the quality of the photos and the whole experience was priceless.
