I was trained as a portrait photographer so I understand the technical aspects of photography and lighting in a way that is obvious in my work. Services
Everyone has a unique style, so we don't want to dictate what you can and cannot wear for your portraits. However, our experience is that there are some styles that should be avoided such as clothing with big patterns and contrast such as a rugby shirt with dark and white horizontal stripes. Choose colors that look great on your skin tone and in your home decor.

The search stops here, Innovative Images is your winner. The photos I had taken came out fantastic and to top it off, Kurt is one of the most pleasant and funny people you'll meet. His years of experience were immediately clear when setting me up for a headshot photo for my LinkedIn account. I've used other photographers in the past, but nothing that came out this good. I will 100% will be back. Highly recommend.

Kurt Nelson with Innovative Images has been taking our family portraits for the past 23 years! Kurt does amazing work and is probably the most talented photographer in Texas! We started using them when our kids were very young and over the years Kurt has taken 10 or 12 portraits of our family. When we started 23 years ago, it was portraits of our family of 5.
Later as our family grew, we added our kids spouses, and then our grandkids. Now that our 3rd grandson is here, we will soon be scheduling our next session with Kurt. I highly recommend Kurt and Tana Nelson and Innovative Images! You will treasure their excellent work for years to come!

I can't begin to find the words to express my appreciation for Kurt's raw talent to capture someone in their best moment when they don't think they have one! I despise photos. The fear is REAL! I needed an updated headshot for a special feature in a magazine and knew I wanted a quality professional in the industry. I based my decision on reviews and I hit the jackpot! Kurt picked up on all my insecurities during the first 5 mins of the session.
In most situations this is terrifying but for a professional photographer, this is key! He brought me out of my traditional "photo smile" mode that I have memorized for years to mask the insecurities that I have and was able to capture a natural side of me that I didn't know existed. OH and he is a genius with touch ups ! Will be scheduling family portraits with him next.

Kurt was awesome! Super nice. He's got a great garden and indoor studio and he gets a ton of great shots in even just an hour. The dressing room has a mirror and plenty of stuff for you to use to get ready if you forget something. Kurt does a great job considering the kind of pictures you want and he's a very nice guy. I had a good time getting my senior pics done here!

We have been getting photos here for many years since our kids were little and are always amazed by the results. These aren't really just photos they are works of art to treasure for a lifetime and really beyond. I joked with my husband that Kurt must be part magician because we don't really don't look as good in person as we do in his photos. The only problem we ever have is deciding which shots to choose because we love them all.

He is an artist and his vision and creativity are reflected in every shot. We used his services when our boys were just 1 and 3 1/2 years old and the pics are going to truly be family heirlooms. Just perfection! We recently went back for senior pics and I was as thrilled as I was a long time ago. He remembered the family and most importantly genuinely shared in the excitement of memories in past and the memories we are about to create. I can't say enough about Innovative Images.
