Kathy Morris Photography I love to photograph all kinds of weddings, from the traditional to the innovative, the secular to the religious. My style as a wedding photographer has been shaped by many influences. The most important are my work as a visual artist, a photojournalist, portrait photographer, and yoga teacher. I've included examples of these kinds of my creative and and professional life on this site.

What is Iyengar Yoga? Iyengar Yoga is named in honor of BKS Iyengar, the world-renown yoga master in India who was still teaching and practicing daily until a few weeks before he passed away in 2014 at the age of 95. The Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Institute, located in Pune, India, continues to welcome students and teachers from all over the world, and Mr. Iyengar's many books, starting with Light on Yoga first published in 1966, continue on as foundational texts. The Iyengar approach to yoga asana (poses) is characterized by precise instruction, individual attention and guidance, a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, and skillful use of yoga props.
Helpful props: three yoga blankets, two blocks, one belt, one chair (metal folding chair is best.) Access to a clear wall space is often useful. Adjust the lighting in your room (please don't put yourself in front of a window or you will be backlit and difficult to see.)
Black-and-white abstractions of the natural world. These images were originally created in the camera, multiple exposing on B&W 35mm film. With the advent of digital photography, I scanned the negatives, and now offer prints on a variety of fine art papers.
In 1978 Dick Lourie and I collaborated on a broadside of his classic poem "what its like living in Ithaca ny." I had been photographing my own hand for a number of years, and as we discussed ideas I had the vision of hands at the wheel of a car driving down Buffalo Street.
