Although Bill is located in Austin, he is one of the few wedding photographers that travels and photographs weddings throughout the US. The portfolio contains several wedding photographs from Austin, as well as New Orleans, New York, and California. Bill is a master. His photos captured all the strange, funny, tender moments of our wedding. Looking through the photos, I see scenes I vividly remember and other vignettes that I missed. I laugh, and cry and live my wedding all over each time I look at the photos. You don't hire bill to shoot lifeless, boring, posed portraits - you hire him to capture the soul and pulse of your event. Yes- he can do portraits, but they are breathing and capture the unexpected moment, not the obvious 'cheese' smiles.
Where Bill excels is in finding the obscure moment, the sideways glance, the nervous father's reflection- and capturing it in stunning lighting. Bill is everywhere at your event. You won't know how he captured the creepy massage that you never saw go down or caught your great grandma looking like a silent film star. You will be amazed. Bill and Meredith are a seamless and stealthy team that will make you look so good you won't even be able to bring yourself to post the photos on facebook. They are just too good.

Bill was the perfect choice for our wedding this past March. We have been big fans of his work for awhile and felt honored to have him and Meredith there on our big day. They both brought so much energy and were great at getting everyone to loosen up and have fun around the camera. The photos are truly unique and full of vibrant, beautiful colors. We've had so much fun looking through them to relive the day.

We worked with Bill and Meredith for our big day and couldn't be happier with the experience and photos. They are a great team and were able to organize and direct our huge family, making everyone laugh and look their best. Bill caught every minute we would want to remember. He has a great eye and catches the most beautiful moments. He really captured our wedding through our eyes, every emotion we felt and vivid color we saw that night, we get to relive through our photos.
We hired a different company for video and it was amazing to see how Bill captured more energy, love and memories in the photos than in our video. We can't wait for our next opportunity to work with Bill and Meredith. Thank you!

I cannot speak highly enough of Bill McCullough Photography. He shot our wedding in September and his photos are some of the most unique and wonderful pictures I've ever seen. At first my wife and I thought we were splurging on an "expensive" photographer, but we quickly realized that we were getting the deal of lifetime. His talent, eye, humility, and ability to work in and around your even is unmatched. Lastly, the prints he does are incredible.
He prints his work in-house and the quality and clarity of the archival prints are just beautiful. He and his wife do such an amazing job! I cannot recommend Bill high enough.

After seeing another friend's wedding photos, we hired Bill and Meredith for our wedding in Maryland. We loved his style and just HAD to have him. All in, I don't think he was really much more expensive than our other options (travel expenses included), so it was actually no-brainer. Bill has a particular style which I think is best-suited for capturing wonderful candids in interesting ways.
He gets there early to survey the landscape and lighting conditions. The guy does amazing things with light! And having been to dozens of weddings, I don't think I've ever seen a photographer so physically involved in the shoot as I did with him. He does whatever he has to do to get the right shot/angle. And while it's just him and his wife, he is able to capture SO much of what happens at an event. It's actually quite astounding. Overall, his approach is definitely less traditional than most photographers.
And while I don't think his strong suit is for posed family photos, that is exactly what drew us to his work. To this day, it was one of the best decisions we made for that event. Not only do his photos hang in many of our rooms, but our family and friends have also had copies printed and framed. On top of all of that, Bill is just a really great person. He and I have kept in touch and I hope to help him get some more music-related gigs in the future (if he wants them).

I used Bill and Meredith for our wedding and they are awesome! They just don't come in and take pictures. They observe, they get to know people and TRULY capture the moment. They worked so hard at my rehearsal, rehearsal dinner and wedding. I noticed a difference in Bill that you don't really see in wedding photographers. He wasn't just there, he was involved, I can't really describe it but when you see him taking a picture you see him in deep thought and you know what he is envisioning is going to be a masterpiece.
He is truly an artist! (BTW.I believe he now has a permanent collection at the Houston Museum of Fine Art!). I could not have been happier with my photos! Absolutely amazing! If you think the photos on his site are awesome.just wait until you see yourself and your family and friends as the subject of his masterpieces!

Bill and Meredith are a perfect team! They were very pleasant to be around, very friendly, and delivered amazing quality results. We had high expectations and they were exceeded! My wife and I are artists and finding a good wedding photographer was a challenge, until we saw Bill. We hired Bill to photograph our engagement, rehearsal dinner and wedding in 2011. I'm writing today because we just ordered and received our prints. It's been over a year since our wedding and I am still as in love with each and every photograph as I was the first time I saw them. Bill is able to capture the most amazing moments and his photos are much more than just pictures.they're timeless pieces of art that we will always cherish.

I got married in Austin, TX in October 2011 and hired Bill McCullough as my wedding photographer - he was so wonderful to work with from start to finish! It was so fun to see how enthusiastic he was about every single photo he took- he's a true artist. He was so creative with how he got the angles of all the shots- too fun to see. I also got my proofs back very quickly especially considering it was peak wedding since and the holidays.
And I must say- he truly capture moments and personalities so well, and he also has a way of making people look even prettier in the pictures! Lastly- it has to be said- that I did in fact change my wedding date just so that Bill could be my photographer (someone had booked him and snatched him up for my wedding date right before I was about to send in my deposit) it was well worth the change! I highly recommend him!
