Wilderness Concepts Photo is the brainchild and second profession of former practicing Veterinarian, Dr. Larry Friedman, a widely recognized photographer, accomplished in landscape, floral, commercial and portrait photography. His landscape gallery includes Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area in Northeast Utah and Southwest Wyoming, Upstate New York, as well as the images of the history and beauty of Wyoming.Larry's floral images demonstrate the art of macro photography and the impressionistic views of flowers illustrate his creativity.

Larry Friedman is originally from Chicago, Illinois, and is a graduate of the University of Illinois, with the degree Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Following 23 years of practicing his profession in Sweetwater County, Wyoming, he now devotes full-time to his Freelance Photography business, Wilderness Concepts and is again located in the Chicago area.
Flaming Gorge National Recreation area is one of the most beautiful unknown parks in America, located in N.W. Utah and S.W. Wyoming, bounded by Rock Springs and Green River in Wyoming to the north and by Vernal Utah to the South. Sheep Creek Canyon is an awesome geological sight that is a must see, Sheep Creek Bay, Dowd Mountain and Red Canyon offer spectacular overlooks while Flaming Gorge Dam and the Cart Creek Bridge are tourist favorites.
Wyoming is a state with very diverse landscapes, mountains, desert, National Parks and monuments, rich historical sites along with magnificent sunrises and sunsets. The variety is overwhelming for a photographer and many years must be spent to encompass a small part of the diversity. You may recognize Devil's Tower as where the movie Close Encounters of a Third Kind was filmed.
